Tyra Cardigan

The Tyra Cardigan is a slightly oversized cardigan inspired by the classic Aran sweater, featuring large diagonal cables framed by wide sections of reverse stockinette. This creates strong texture contrasts and a graphic, timeless look. The cardigan is perfect for those who want a modern and eye-catching garment with a classic silhouette.

The Tyra Cardigan is worked top down with drop shoulders. The back is worked flat first and shaped with increases at each side. Stitches are then picked up for the shoulders, which are shaped with increases for the neckline. The body is worked flat, and the sleeves are worked flat from picked-up stitches at the armholes. The cardigan is finished with wide ribbed edges at the body, sleeves, and neckline. Stitches are picked up for the button bands, which are worked in rib. Finally, the sleeves are seamed using mattress stitch along the underside.
