Gyda Sweater

Gyda Sweater is a classic cable-knit sweater with a relaxed fit and a rich textured pattern consisting of different cables and textures, inspired by traditional Aran knitting. The sweater is worked seamlessly from the top down. First, the back is worked back and forth with increases. Stitches are then picked up for each shoulder, and increases are worked towards the neckline before stitches are cast on at the center front using the backward loop cast-on. The front is worked back and forth before being joined with the back, after which the body is worked in the round. Stitches are picked up for the sleeves and, finally, for the neckband. The sleeves, body and neckband are finished in 2x2 rib.
