Everyday Sweater

The Everyday Sweater is a timeless, lightly oversized sweater with a relaxed fit. It is designed to be a true everyday favorite—comfortable, versatile, and easy to style. With clean lines and a thoughtfully considered construction, the sweater has a modern look while remaining classic. You can choose between a low neckline, a mock neck, or a high neck.

The Everyday Sweater is worked top down. First, the back yoke is worked flat and shaped into a trapezoid using German Short Rows. Stitches are then picked up along the shoulders, which are shaped and joined at the front to form the front yoke. The front and back are then joined, and the body is worked in the round on circular needles. Stitches are picked up along the armholes for the sleeves, which are worked in the round. Finally, stitches are picked up along the neckline and ribbing is worked in the round.

Materials: 125 (125) 125 (150) 150 (150) 175 g Tynn Silk Mohair by Sandnes Garn (25 g = 212 m [232 yrds]), or Plum by Rauma Garn (25 g = 250 m [273 yrds]), held together with either 400 (450) 450 (500) 500 (550) 600 g Lamull by Rauma Garn (50 g = 235 m [257 yrds]) held double, or 500 (500) 550 (600) 600 (650) g Double Sunday by Sandnes Garn (50 g = 108 m [118 yrds]) held single.

Alternatively, the sweater can be knit using Finull together with Lamull by Rauma Garn.
Go up half a needle size if you prefer a more oversized look and a lighter garment.
