Bibi Cardigan

The Bibi Cardigan is a sweet cardigan for babies and children that combines garter stitch and stripes. It is worked top down with short rows at the neck and raglan increases for a comfortable fit. Both the body and sleeves are worked back and forth, so you will be knitting only knit stitches throughout. Finally, button bands are worked along the front edges, and a collar is worked along the neckline, also in garter stitch. The sleeves are then seamed from the underarm using mattress stitch.

The button bands and collar are worked in Color 1, and extra yarn has therefore been allocated for these parts.

Size guide: The Bibi Cardigan is designed to have 10–20 cm [4–8 in] of positive ease relative to the chest measurement. The sizes 6–9 months (9–12 months) 1–2 (2–3) 3–4 (5–6) 7–8 (8–10) years correspond to a chest measurement of: 46 (48) 50 (54) 56 (60) 64 (68) cm.
